Crockmore House, Henley - Gardens Tour
Wednesday, 8th September
Our September garden visit this year will be to a modern garden designed in 1999 by Christopher Bradley-Hole and planted in 2000 by Julia Kirkham, owner and a garden designer in her own right. Christopher Bradley-Hole is one of the world’s most influential landscape designers. Iconic designs, including gardens made at the Chelsea Flower Show (6 Gold medals) are described as “minimal, harmonious spaces, geometric, and pure proportions”. Set around a beautiful neo-Georgian house built in 1988 in the Chilterns, we will have a guided tour followed by a tea on the lawn. The garden was most recently featured in The Private Gardens of England, edited by Tania Compton and published by Constable.
Time: 2pm. Tea will be served after the tour. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email bgtmembership@gmail.com immediately after booking.
Note: There is a maximum number of 40 people for this event. We hope that there will be no COVID restrictions by the time of this visit, but please be understanding if there are last minutes alterations in the arrangements if the situation changes.
Cost: Members £20; Non-Members £22.
Joining instructions and detailed directions to Crockmore House will be sent to attendees just prior to the visit date.
Queries: Please contact Janet by email at bgtmembership@gmail.com; or phone Bettina Kirkham on 0118 972 3589 for queries about the visit.
