July Garden Visit to Haines Hill, Twyford
Friday, 2nd July at 2pm
Please be understanding if there are last minutes alterations in the arrangements for this visit due to the imposition of COVID restrictions. We will make whatever changes are needed to remain in compliance with changing government pandemic restrictions.
Haines Hill is a private residence and family home, hidden by trees deep within the estate, which passed into the ownership of Lucy Zeal and her family in 2011. This will be the first occasion that Mr and Mrs Zeal have opened their garden to guests; and Berkshire Gardens Trust very much appreciate their generosity in allowing our members the exclusive opportunity to visit their garden.
There are 12 acres of formal gardens, including some stunning herbaceous borders, and a newly developed kitchen garden. Our visit will be hosted by Lucy, who will welcome guests upon arrival at the front of the house. She will introduce them to the estate and will be available to answer questions. There will be no official tour as guests may wander around the garden and Lucy, plus the gardener, Simon, will be available to answer questions. Tea and cake will be served on the terrace at 3:30 pm.
There is a maximum number of 30 people for this event so please book early! Until Monday, 7th June, only BGT members may book. Thereafter bookings from non-members are welcomed.
NOTE: The house is not included in the visit.
There are some uneven surfaces, so stout shoes will be required. There is ample parking and there are toilets available in the grounds. There will be no photography allowed. If you have any dietary restrictions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org immediately after booking.
Cost: Tickets are £12 for members and £15 for non-members.
Queries: Please contact Janet by email at email@example.com.
