Spring Garden Visit:
Thursday 2nd May 2019
1.45pm for 2pm
Shurlock Row, Rg10 0PN
Our late Spring visit to this little-known garden provides a unique opportunity for members, because the gardens are rarely, if ever, open to the general public.
Berkshire Gardens Trust members will view the Topiary Garden, Box and Hornbeam Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sculpture Walk (which includes classical and very modernist works), Wild Flower Meadow, Long Border, Stumpery Garden (with the Dickensonia Antarctica collection of antipodean prehistoric tree-ferns), and Rhododendron Walk (which should be in its full glory), leading to the Lake.
We will assemble at 1.45pm for a 2.00 pm start. Tea will be served in the terrace above the Box and Hornbeam Garden or in the timbered Dining Hall if the weather is wet.
The cost of the visit is £12.00 per person for all members and non-members. The owners have very kindly donated all proceeds to the Berkshire Gardens Trust. Confirmation of bookings will be sent by email.
Numbers will be restricted to 30 visitors so please book early.
Online booking will give immediate confirmation of your place (or if the event is fully booked) an option to join the wait-list. Postal bookings will be processed as quickly as possible.
