To identify, understand, appreciate, and promote the conservation of historically significant designed landscapes in Berkshire...

"enjoying and caring for our garden heritage, now, and for future generations"

Garden events and Coronavirus:

We have all been looking forward to getting out into gardens this year as part of our 2020 Programme, now severely affected by Covid -19. With the health and wellbeing of all our members uppermost in our minds we have had to cancel the April - August visits.

The September visit to Crockmore House has now been cancelled due revised Government Regulations & Guidelines

(9 September).

Welcome to the expanding website of the Berkshire Gardens Trust (BGT). Founded in 2009, we are proud of the rich heritage of historic parks and gardens which we have here in the Royal County of Berkshire. We aim to identify, protect and promote this valuable heritage.

The Trust is a volunteer organisation which runs an annual programme of informed garden visits, talks, seminars and lectures. We also initiate projects in which members can participate, such as cataloguing the important gardens and parks in the County.

We have been involved in restoring and conserving important public gardens. There is much going on and plenty to do. I do hope that as you navigate around this site you will be able to join us as a member of Berkshire Gardens Trust and help where you can.  Do contact us if you would like to get involved.
