Berkshire Gardens Trust awards small grants for projects related to natural heritage,
primarily historic parks and gardens in Berkshire.
 

The scheme makes grants of up to £1,000 for projects approved in writing by Berkshire Gardens Trust.

Guidelines
 

Berkshire Gardens Trust awards grants for projects related to build and natural heritage, primarily historic parks and gardens, especially public parks, in Berkshire. The Trust offers such grants towards approved projects which relate to the conservation, improvement, and further understanding of the designed landscape of Berkshire.

Examples of such projects are:

 

• Campaigns to protect historic parks and gardens.

• Publication of research into historic parks and gardens and their historic assetsrelevant to Berkshire.

• Surveys or environmental assessments covering horticultural, botanical or
  historical aspects.

• Management and development of restoration or conservation plans.

• Restoration or conservation of historic designed landscapes.

• The creation of a new garden in a historic setting and additional planting.

• The restoration of appropriate garden ornaments or statues.

• The preservation or restoration of documents associated with any of the above or
  with an important person who has been concerned with Berkshire’s parks and
  gardens.

• A project satisfying the educational objectives of the Trust set out in its articles of
  association, as displayed on Berkshire Gardens Trust website
